Lucy Hatami, a British mother with an 8-month-old son, decided to venture out for a nice breakfast at a restaurant after spending most of her time at home.
However, what was supposed to be a peaceful meal turned sour when her baby started crying. What happened next took Lucy by surprise.
As her son cried in the restaurant, a 20-year-old man at a nearby table muttered, “I wish that thing would shut up.”
Before Lucy could respond, a stranger stood up and intervened.
Lucy shared the incident on Facebook, expressing her experience with her crying baby and the young man’s rude comment.
“Before I could even respond, his father came up behind him, grabbed him by the ear, and said, ‘And you think you were perfect? You were a little sod.'”
“Stop sniveling now, go over there and apologize and offer to get her breakfast, because she clearly has her hands full!”
The young man followed his father’s advice, got up, and offered to get Lucy breakfast, realizing the challenges of parenting.
“So I got my breakfast buffet with waiter and a lovely coffee. Thanks to that father who even after 20 years still remembers how hard it is to be a parent of babies,” Lucy shared on Facebook.
Applause to the father for teaching his son a valuable lesson in respect and empathy, even at a later stage in life.
