Abandoned Senior Dog Found in Cemetery – Vet Discovers His Eye is Falling Out

Being responsible for the care of both humans and animals is a significant commitment. Another being relies entirely on you for the best chance at a good life.

Unfortunately, cases of animals being abandoned are not uncommon.

One such heartbreaking case involves a Shih Tzu discovered in Manchester, England.

If you realize you are unable to provide adequate care for an animal, it is best not to take on that responsibility at all.

Both children and animals demand substantial time and attention. Only if you are able to provide that level of care should you consider bringing them into your life.

Every living creature deserves love and respect, making instances of neglect deeply troubling.

And this was the unfortunate situation for this Shih Tzu.

Dumped in graveyard

The elderly dog was abandoned in a graveyard.

When discovered, her health was in a dire state.

She had a severe eye infection that had caused her eye to almost fall out of its socket. This information is from The Mirror.

Due to this infection, the dog’s vision was greatly impaired, and the person who found her promptly took her to the vet.

Looking for an owner

The dog has now been named “Boo” and is under the care of organizations searching for her original owner.

“Poor Boo was extremely frightened, shaking, and in terrible condition. She could barely see due to blindness in her infected eye, with the other eye covered in dirt,” shared researcher Demi Hodby.

“Her eye was so swollen that it was on the verge of popping out of its socket. It must have been excruciatingly painful.”

“After receiving multiple treatments, Boo’s condition has improved significantly. Once she is fully recovered, efforts will be made to find her a new loving home.”

Currently, Boo is receiving care at an animal clinic along with antibiotics.
