This couple committed an unfathomable act of harm towards an innocent child.
The shocking incident unfolded in Missouri, USA, last year involving Derick Boyce-Slezak and Mikala Boyce-Slezak, who were supposed to be caring for their newborn baby.
However, they proved to be anything but responsible parents.
Severe Injuries
In April, the couple brought their four-month-old baby to the hospital’s emergency room. Doctors were alarmed to find that the child suffered from second-degree burns and a head injury, as reported by ntd.tv
Police Intervention
Mikala stated that the child’s father accidentally dropped their son while trying to reenact a TV commercial.
She further revealed that he had placed the baby inside a microwave and turned it on briefly.
Upon hearing this disturbing account, hospital staff promptly reported the incident to the authorities, leading to the couple’s arrest by the police.
They now face charges of child abuse and, if convicted, could be sentenced to prison. The child has been placed under the care of social services.
