On February 20, 2017, Jessica Woodruff’s life fell apart when her barn caught fire and several of her pets perished.
But Jessica was not alone in her grief. Her dog Daisy also lost seven of her puppies and was shattered by it.
The fire claimed the lives of four goats, a pig, and seven puppies. Daisy, the mother of the puppies, had tried to run through the fire, but it spread so quickly that it was too late for Jessica to save them. That’s according to Pawmygosh.
“It only took a few minutes. It was terrible,” Jessica says. The fire was likely caused by a lamp.

Became Depressed and Stopped Eating
Daisy, a crossbreed of a Pyrenees and a Border Collie, had a broken heart. She became depressed and stopped eating.
She continued to hide in the barn and grieve the loss of her little pups.
Jessica felt she needed to do something and posted a message on Facebook to see if she could perhaps adopt some puppies from a shelter.
And Jessica got a response to her message. Lorna Murphy wrote that her own dog, Chloe, had passed away shortly after giving birth to 8 small black-and-white puppies that needed a new mother.
Motherly Instinct
The two owners decided to make something beautiful out of the tragedies they had experienced, and they arranged a meeting.

A few days later, Jessica and Daisy met, and everything went very well from then on.
When Daisy was introduced to the little puppies, it was as if her motherly instinct kicked in right away. You can watch that joyful moment in the video below. The reaction is extraordinary.
Great idea by these animal owners, isn’t it? No one should have to go through such a tragedy. How beautiful to see Daisy shine again.
Feel free to share this article about Daisy, and wish these puppies all the best for the future.
