Rescued from the Meat Market: A Heartwarming Tale of Love and Redemption

Meat markets in South Korea are prevalent and even sell dog meat.

One of the dogs that was supposed to be sold as meat for consumption was this incredibly cute golden retriever. Fortunately, the furry friend got a second chance at life.

Juliette was rescued from a meat market by Humane Society, an American animal organization.

Her time had come, and the poor animal had no bright future ahead of her. No one loved her, and she was all alone.

But everything changed when animal activists freed her from a meat market.

She was flown to the United States along with several other rescued dogs. Once there, the animals could be placed in new families.

And it was not difficult at all. One of the interested parties was actor Daniel Henney, a 40-year-old Hollywood actor, known for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “The Last Stand,” among others.

David set his sights on the golden retriever, and the rest was history. When he heard her story, he didn’t hesitate for a second.

“I saw her and thought ‘that’s my girl, that’s her!” he says emotionally in an interview.
