Feline Phenomenon: The Rise of Dinosaur-Styled Cats Taking Over Social Media

During times of lockdown and social isolation, many cat owners are getting creative with how their pets look. They do this by giving them “dinosaur hairstyles” or “dragon hairstyles.”

These amazing photos of this strange new style are spreading rapidly on social media and bringing mixed reactions with them.

Owners are having a lot of fun with their furry four-legged friends’ fur and tail. Some even go so far as to dye their cat’s fur green and purple.

The “dino trend” all started when a user on Instagram showed off his new creation.

Since then, many other owners around the world have followed the trend and shared their own creations. Some are even shaving their cat’s fur for the summer, so they don’t get sunburned… well.

An Instagrammer posted a disapproving comment on the crazy trend.

“Your cat relies on his fur for protection. Losing this ‘protective layer’ can make him feel anxious.”

“Shaving a cat’s fur can lead to an inability to communicate with other cats. The new hair growth can also be very itchy and irritating. Shaving fur is also very stressful for a cat,” the Instagrammer added.

Let’s hope these cats are just indoor cats and are not vulnerable to outdoor life.

What do you think of this cat trend? Cruel or creative? Feel free to share this post on Facebook with all your cat friends!
