Nicole Kidman skipped the Oscars this year

Despite skipping the Oscars, Nicole Kidman has been keeping busy. She attended the TIME 2025 Women of the Year Gala in Los Angeles on February 25 and recently released the first trailer for her upcoming project, Holland.

With numerous projects in the works for Nicole Kidman, many believe she is currently in the spotlight. However, Kidman herself sees this as more than just a fleeting moment in her career. In an interview with CBS News, she expressed, ‘I’m just me. But I think because I’ve had so many years where so many different things have happened and I’m fully aware of where I am, I’m completely awake. I’m in this world. I’m curious, grateful, and amazed. I love the word miracle, because I still have a lot of wonder and excitement about what’s to come.’

In a prior interview with Vanity Fair, she shared her views on her varied career, stating her love for the journey: ‘I’ve been crazy in life, so whatever happens, it comes up in many different ways. I feel things intensely. I read a lot. I build a family. I am a woman, I am a sister. I have all these friends. I go through the journey of life.’

Kidman emphasized the importance of staying present and embracing joy in the moment, as advised to her: ‘It can be really difficult, especially if you’re very present and emotional and you’re in it. And then there’s a huge amount of pure joy. That was one of the best advice I ever got: don’t think ahead to something bad happening. Stay in the moment if it’s good, because you need to nourish in that time. You will have the strength to go on when it’s not. If you don’t allow the nourishment of joy and good times already, that’s the wrong way to live.’
