We live in very uncertain times. The pandemic caused by the coronavirus has turned the world upside down. And these brutal changes in society are even felt in the smallest places.
COVID crisis: 17 bodies discovered in nursing home after anonymous tip
The police in the village of Andover, in the American state of New Jersey, recently received an anonymous report of a body in a shed on the property of one of the largest nursing homes in the state. That was reported by various sources.
But when a patrol went to check on the site, they couldn’t believe what they saw: not 1, but 17 bodies.

In the same nursing home, 41 staff members, including a receptionist, reportedly fell ill due to the coronavirus. “The challenge we are facing, in all these nursing homes, is that the virus is spreading like wildfire,” spokesperson Josh Gottheimer said, calling for body bags. The idea of having to store 17 bodies in a morgue that normally accommodates 4 bodies is just chilling.
The families of the residents who still live in the nursing home are understandably worried. Sources report that the center received a heavy deficiency rating in an inspection report for staff, inspection, and patient care.
These are terrible times we are currently living in. Keep your loved ones close, stay safe. Together we can get through this.
