Prince Harry’s Princess: Meghan Markle Denies Influencer Status After Instagram Return

Last January, Meghan Markle made a comeback on Instagram with a brief video, and she has been actively engaging on the platform ever since. She frequently shares family photos, promotes her new brand As Ever, and provides backstage glimpses of With Love, Meghan (now streaming on Netflix). Recently, she expressed her joy about being back on the platform.

Since her return on January 1, Meghan has amassed over two million followers. Quite impressive.

Meghan Markle on her Return to Instagram

Before posting her first video this year after a long absence from Instagram, Meghan reminisced, “‘The last time I was on social media, Boomerang was a thing,’ during a recent interview with People. She further mentioned, ‘Instagram Stories didn’t even exist, so it’s been a while.’

Since her first video on January 1, 2025, where she was seen running on the beach, Meghan has been sharing more glimpses of her daily life. From endearing moments with Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet, to surprising fans on Instagram Stories or attending the Invictus Games with Harry. While actively promoting her brand, As Ever, and her Netflix show, Meghan does not categorize herself as an ‘influencer,’ as she revealed to People.

‘I consider myself an entrepreneur and a female founder. If the brand does become influential, that’s fantastic.’
