Our children are our most precious asset, making it particularly distressing to witness them in pain or distress.
When we entrust our children to a caregiver or childcare center, we assume that they will be looked after as if they were the caregivers’ own. However, this is not always the case.
In 2011, following suspicions at a daycare facility in Spain, the management decided to install a hidden camera.
The disturbing footage captured a caregiver named Esther engaging in abusive behavior towards the children.
For instance, when a child refused to eat, she would force them to do so by laying them on the ground.
If a child resisted sleep, she would place the child in a sleeping bag and sit on the opening of the bag.
Shockingly, her actions were witnessed by a colleague who did nothing to intervene.
This horrific abuse took place between November 14 and 18, 2011, leading to Esther’s arrest and a four-year prison sentence.
Additionally, she was required to pay €90,000 in compensation to the families of the affected children.
According to The Daily Mail, the colleague who witnessed the abuse without taking action received an 11-month sentence.

Children should never endure such treatment. While this should be evident, unfortunately, some individuals fail to grasp this concept.
