A DJ who had been battling cancer for two years recently succumbed to the effects of the coronavirus. The man reportedly told doctors to “save someone else’s life.” This was reported by NYpost.
The Story of Liam Downing’s Sacrifice:
Prior to contracting COVID-19, Liam Downing had celebrated his thirtieth birthday. He was suffering from leukemia, making his immune system extremely vulnerable.
He had previously been informed that his cancer was terminal.
Liam, a popular young man who worked as a DJ in his spare time, passed away on March 27 due to complications from the coronavirus.

Liam’s sister Laura paid tribute to her dear brother, emphasizing his selfless nature and willingness to help others before himself.
“On the 19th of March, we received the sad news that Liam’s cancer was incurable, and on top of that, he tested positive for COVID-19,” Laura said.
Due to his condition, Liam had to isolate himself from everyone he knew to prevent the risk of transmission.
On Saturday, March 21, he made the courageous decision to discontinue medication and opted for palliative care after consulting with a specialist.
This decision came as a shock to his family and friends, but it was Liam’s wish. He had fought as long as he could and did not want to receive unnecessary treatment, saying, “Save someone else’s life.”
Liam’s family initiated a fundraising campaign to cover his funeral expenses, raising nearly $10,000. Laura confirmed that the remaining funds would be donated to the hospital that treated Liam.
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic continues to be felt globally, bringing uncertainty to us all. It is undeniable that we are engaged in a battle against a silent and invisible enemy, emphasizing the need for mutual support.
Rest in peace, Liam. Thank you for your bravery and selflessness until the very end.
