Instead of risking the elephant’s life by transporting it, the team opted to perform the operation on-site to increase its chances of survival.
Their efforts paid off.
After waking from sedation, the elephant recovered under a tree, gradually returning to its normal self soon after.
The veterinarians affectionately named the elephant “Beautiful Boy” and stayed by its side until it regained full health. Shortly after, it ventured back into the jungle, completely healed.
