While visiting Bali, tourists are being deceived into eating dog meat despite vendors claiming to sell chicken satay.
Simultaneously, an animal rights organization reports that the dogs served as ‘chicken’ are brutally slaughtered.

According to ABC News Australia and the animal rights group Animals Australia, international tourists have unknowingly consumed dog meat while vacationing in Bali. These dogs are often stolen, poisoned, and/or tortured for this purpose.
Vendors have two methods to serve this meat to tourists. The first involves outright deception where they sell dog meat as chicken. The second method is to ambiguously label the meat to mislead tourists into believing they are eating chicken when it is actually dog meat.
“Tourists walk down the street, see a shop selling chicken satay, but what they don’t know is that the letters RW on the shop mean they serve dog meat,” explained Lyn White of Animals Australia to ABC.
Lyn also claims that certain dog meat can be toxic as gangs often poison the dogs before slaughtering them, as reported by the Daily Mail.
‘Satay’ is marinated skewered meat typically served with a sauce, commonly made from lamb, pork, beef, fish, or tofu.
Eating dog meat is not illegal in Bali, as per ABC News. However, Animals Australia’s footage captures the moment when tourists specifically ask for chicken satay, not dog satay, and the operator denies selling dog meat. Yet, the same operator admitted to an undercover journalist working for Animals Australia that they do, in fact, sell dog meat.
The investigator filmed these encounters with hidden cameras and even claimed to have been invited to work in the dog meat trade.
Moreover, the investigator witnessed dogs being tortured after being captured by meat traders, with undercover footage showing dogs being shot on the street and crammed into bags before slaughter.
This issue has gained global attention, spreading like wildfire across the news.
Shocking

No dog should suffer from these horrendous and illegal activities! And no tourist should be deceived into consuming dog meat unwittingly. This is simply appalling!
