When family members die from the terrible consequences of cancer, the pain for the survivors is simply heartbreaking.

But when I read about a family that was particularly hard hit by the disease, I couldn’t imagine the pain. Because not 1, but 3 family members of the Ewald family from Germany have cancer.
The family is going through hell.
Stefanie and her husband Sebastian had built a nice life with their three children, Jonas (10), Neele (6), and Lenja (1). Everything was going well until cancer crept into the family and almost took hold of the whole family.
Sources report that both Jonas and Neele suffer from the Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a genetic condition that makes one more susceptible to cancer. Due to this condition, Jonas developed a brain tumor when he was only ten years old. He passed away in the presence of his family on December 29, 2019.
In a cruel twist of fate, mother Stefanie is now also fighting her own battle against breast cancer. Stefanie’s mother had died earlier of the same type of cancer, and Stefanie herself received the bad news in February after an examination.
Surgery and Cancer Battle
Stefanie underwent surgery last Wednesday and would undergo chemotherapy the next day.
“I try to take care of the girls as much as possible. What will happen to them after I’m gone. They deserve that.”
This brave family needs all the support they can get during this terrible time.
On her Instagram page, the mother of three explains how grateful she is for all the support and sympathy she has received.
For families who were luckier and did not develop cancer, it is difficult to understand how strong you have to be not to give up.
