The least one could do is bring them to a shelter, wouldn’t you agree? At least there, they would receive the care they need.
This particular story is especially distressing because it wasn’t just one dog that was abandoned; it was an entire family. A mother was struggling to care for her young while fighting for her own survival.
The family, comprising a mother and her six puppies, was discovered chained up in Roscommon, Ireland, abandoned by their owner. The mother was doing her best to nourish her offspring.
A passerby noticed the chained dogs and promptly alerted the authorities and animal protection services, leading to the animals being taken in for proper care.
“A young dog being forsaken without food or water while nursing her puppies poses a significant risk,” stated the concerned individual. “I fail to comprehend how anyone could find it acceptable to chain a dog up while she tends to her pups.”
