Zoos provide a wonderful opportunity to observe animals up close, but it’s crucial to respect the rules in place. If a sign advises against feeding the animals, it’s essential to adhere to it.
Tragically, an orangutan found itself in distress after receiving food thrown by zoo visitors, leading to the animal falling into the water. Fortunately, a quick-thinking zookeeper intervened to save its life.
The incident unfolded at the Vinpearl Safari Park on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. As reported by The Sun, a tourist’s actions caused the orangutan to plunge into the water while attempting to retrieve the tossed food.

The orangutan faced a life-threatening situation in the moat and was saved by the courageous actions of the zookeeper who not only leaped into the water to rescue the ape but also performed CPR to revive it.

The remarkable rescue was caught on camera, showcasing the incredible effort to revive an ape successfully.
According to The Sun, the orangutan survived the ordeal and is currently in stable condition. The zoo had posted signs cautioning visitors against feeding the animals, aiming to prevent such incidents in the future.
Kudos to the brave zookeeper for saving the distressed orangutan! We are relieved that the orangutan is safe!
