A three-year-old boy is being cared for in intensive care after being brutally beaten by his 12-year-old babysitter.
The prognosis for the little boy is uncertain.
3-year-old Noah Brown from Indiana, USA, is described as a cheerful, friendly boy with lots of energy. His parents have been separated for a while.
On the 29th of November this year, the unthinkable happened.
He was at his biological father’s house, who was not home at the time. Instead, his 12-year-old stepson was watching over Noah.
This would prove to be a fateful decision…
Brutally beaten
According to Noah’s grandmother, he began crying while the 12-year-old was watching over him. The 12-year-old, who has severe aggression issues, couldn’t handle this and started beating Noah with a belt.
He then threw Noah onto the bed in such a way that he hit his head against the headboard. The 12-year-old then continued hitting Noah’s head against the wall before Noah eventually collapsed…
The police arrested the 12-year-old for serious assault, personal weapons, and four counts of battery. Noah was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
Treated in intensive care
Noah is now hovering between life and death in the hospital where they have him in a coma.
“He’s forced to be on a ventilator and part of his skull was removed due to the severe injuries,” said shocked Michelle Lane, Noah’s mother.
The toddler had Covid at the time of the attack, meaning he has a long road to recovery ahead.
It’s unclear if he will ever fully recover or even survive. His mother says he has had several seizures.
“There is no guarantee his quality of life will be good, but we pray and hope for the best and that he will be okay.”
To prevent such a thing from happening again, the mother has started a petition to pass a new law requiring a minimum age of 16 to be a babysitter in the state.
I hope that little Noah pulls through and fully recovers from the horrific attack…
