Suffering from discomfort and pain due to her skin issues, Honey found a caring soul who saw beyond her exterior.
Vet Jessie DeFreitas made the compassionate decision to take Honey under her wing.
“She required consistent attention, so I chose to provide her with a forever home,” shared 21-year-old Jessie with Ron Project.

Eventually, Jessie’s mother agreed to welcome Honey, now named Terra to symbolize her resilient spirit.
‘Sweetest Little Thing’
“Upon arrival, Terra displayed a feisty demeanor. Her original name, Honey, didn’t quite match her personality,” Jessie recounted to SWNS.
“To me, she’s a real sweetheart, but Mom opted for Terra due to her tough nature.”
After months of diligent care, Terra transformed into a loving dog once more, reverting to her original name, Honey, and regrowing her coat. Her remarkable change is evident.
“Her recovery has been remarkable. You can see the joy in her eyes; she’s much happier,” Jessie expressed. “She’s truly amazing, the most affectionate and gentle little furball.”
