The Horrific Lip Filler Experience:
The 27-year-old Jessica Burko went for her usual lip filler appointment when everything went terribly wrong. Now, she has genuine advice for any woman looking to enhance their lips.
Burko has had her lips filled six times before and is no stranger to the process. A year had passed since her last lip enhancement, so when she won a giveaway for a lip filler procedure, she immediately accepted it, thinking it was time for a touch-up.
What happened next was devastating. The 27-year-old shared a video detailing the entire ordeal. She explained that, “Immediately after he injected me, I looked in the mirror and realized how swollen I was.”
She immediately went to the doctor, who prescribed her medication, but this only made her lips “worse.” Her damaged lips did not seem to be improving.
The next day, her lips were still swollen, so she made the decision to return to the clinic and have her fillers dissolved. Luckily for Burko, specialists were able to undo the damage and restore her lips to their natural shape.
The influencer, however, wanted her scary experience to serve as a reminder to everyone to “never do free cosmetics.” “It looked like Halloween.” She added jokingly, “He made me look very scary.”
When asked if this incident would prevent her from getting her lips filled again, Burko said no. “I will go back to my usual spot,” she shared. According to Burko’s regular lip filler, the fatal mistake the other lip filler could have made was that he “hit a vein,” which seemed like a plausible explanation, as it “had no clear path to follow.”
The influencer warned everyone by saying, “If your lips look like mine, you should be concerned. Have them dissolved immediately and go to another place.”
