Translation:

It’s a common occurrence where girls of all ages face harassment in public places with bystanders often choosing to do nothing about it.
However, when young hockey player Andreas Neuman witnessed six men intimidating a mother and her 15-year-old daughter, he didn’t hesitate to take action.
“I find it disgraceful when people stand by and do nothing,” he expressed.
After a hockey game, Andreas headed to a train station where he witnessed a situation that angered him instantly.
“Six men had cornered a mother and her 15-year-old daughter, clearly making them feel uncomfortable. When the mother attempted to leave the circle, the men pushed her back,” he recounted to Arbetarbladet.

Intervening in the Situation
Andreas detailed how one of the men rolled up a newspaper and struck the women on their backsides, provoking his anger.
“I jumped in and was shoved into the circle. The situation escalated and I ended up on the ground with one of the men. Following that, they all dispersed,” he shared with Arbetarbladet.
Potentially Dangerous Outcome
Having scared off the men, Andreas felt a sense of relief. He believed that the situation could have taken a more dangerous turn for the women given the men’s size advantage. Nonetheless, he insisted that not taking action was never an option for him.
“It’s a shame that others chose to look the other way,” he stated.
