Many dogs experience anxiety disorders, especially those with a troubled past. Even with a loving home, it can be challenging for them to adapt.
Fortunately, a rescued dog named Rex has the support of his two best friends to help him through his anxiety attacks.

Rex, a 4-year-old English/French mastiff mix, was adopted by Ross. According to Newsweek, Ross is Rex’s fourth owner, and before him, Rex had a tumultuous history.
“Rex had suffered from abusive owners in the past,” Ross shared. “He was almost euthanized because they mistook his fear and anxiety for aggression.”
Although Rex has made progress since his rescue, he still battles anxiety attacks. Thankfully, his two friends are there to lend a helping paw when needed.
Ross posted a video on Reddit showing his dogs, Winnie and Huxley, comforting Rex during an anxiety episode by showering him with love and kisses:
The video touched many onlookers. A comment on the r/AnimalsBeingBros subreddit reads, “Super cute! Rex is fortunate to have such caring friends. So heartwarming.”
Ross shared with Newsweek that his other two dogs assist Rex in overcoming his anxiety. He shares a special bond with Winnie, the white dog in the video, who is both deaf and a rescue pup.
“Rex immediately calms down around Winnie since she can’t hear him growl. She remains unafraid and simply showers him with love, helping him ease his anxiety over time,” Ross explained to Newsweek.
Ross also mentioned his close connection with Rex and how he has trained him to manage his anxiety over the years.
“After my divorce, Rex was my first dog as a single parent. We supported each other tremendously. Over the past 2.5 years, I have helped him recover, and he has made significant progress, becoming calmer and more sociable,” Ross shared.
We all could use friends like Winnie and Huxley during tough times ❤️ It’s heartwarming to see this anxious dog surrounded by immense love.
