Bull Surprises Matador and Scalps Him: A Shocking Turn of Events

Something different than the coronavirus crisis.

Bullfighting is seen as a tradition by some, but to others like me, it’s nothing but horrific animal cruelty. The animals endure systematic torture for the mere entertainment of the audience.

It’s reminiscent of ancient Rome, where people cheered as men faced off against wild beasts like lions, a spectacle of pure horror.

There is no justification for such barbaric practices, yet they persist. Bulls suffer and die in these events every year.

It’s no wonder that the animals fight back against the brutal matadors, as vividly shown in the video below.

In the video, we witness a bull fighting for its life. Spanish matador Juan José Padilla had a challenging encounter in the town of Arevalo in 2018.

As the matador was preparing to stab the fourth bull of the day, he stumbled, giving the bull the perfect chance to defend itself.

The bull proceeded to gore the man about 20 centimeters deep.

The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reports that this wasn’t the first time this bullfighter was injured by a bull.

In 2011, he had already lost an eye when a bull trampled his face.

For those who wish to see the incident, the video below contains graphic content and may be disturbing.

While the images are distressing, the bull was simply defending itself! What are your thoughts on bullfighting? Is it a noble tradition or should animals be spared? Feel free to share your opinion below.
