Cat Named Tusse Shot at 10 Times by Animal Abuser with Air Rifle

Kat Tusse eventually returned home after being missing for a week. He stumbled forward, his head bowed. When his family looked at him, they realized he had been seriously injured, according to the local newspaper Sundsvalls Tidning in Sweden where the incident took place.

Someone had shot Tusse in the head with an air rifle – ten times.

When I read this, my blood boiled.

Tusse’s family had owned him for a year and a half. He was used to going into the family’s garden but usually went back inside after no more than a day.

But this time, Tusse didn’t come home. Days passed and eventually, the family reported him missing. Unfortunately, their search yielded no results.

He had been gone for over a week when he suddenly came home one morning. One look at Tusse and his family knew immediately that something was wrong.

“It was clear that he had somehow been injured,” mother Jennie Norlén told the local press. “His head hung low. He didn’t walk straight and was limping a bit.”

The family took Tusse to an animal hospital where it was discovered that he had been shot with an air rifle or air gun. Ten times.

Nothing could save Tusse. He was put to sleep.

“This was a huge shock for us and very difficult for the whole family,” says Jennie.

It’s unclear how Tusse was injured. The shots were centered around his head and neck. Since cats are known to run away when they hear loud noises and are certainly being shot at, there is only one sad conclusion to be drawn – Tusse was held captive while being shot.

I shudder at the thought of what happened to poor Tusse! Please help us share this article so more people can be aware of the sad fact that cruelty exists and that we must be vigilant with our pets!

Rest in peace sweet Tusse.
