Everyone who has grown up with a dog knows how wonderful it can be to have a loyal four-legged friend. This is evident in the surveillance footage of dog Berkley and his family.
Dog Berkley undoubtedly has a very special bond with his human sister Elainey.
At first, the family was very cautious because they were concerned about having a pet and a baby under the same roof.

So when Elainey was a baby, the dog was not allowed to get too close, as the parents were a bit nervous about how the girl would react.
“The only thing that could make her happy”
But it quickly became apparent that the daughter was absolutely not afraid, says her mother.
“I always had very big reservations about him with her, because he’s so big. But the only thing that could make her happy was for him to be in the room. So when we gave him permission to be near her… [we realized] how nice he really is,” mother Christine Jo told The Dodo.
Of course, as a parent, you should always supervise your children, especially when there are pets involved. But it was clear that Berkley and Elainey loved each other.
Went into her room every night
When 2-year-old Elainey was sleeping at home in her crib, the family got a baby monitor – so they could check on her from time to time. What they discovered then was that the dog Berkley took his role as “big brother” very seriously.
Christine Jo explains that Berkley would go visit his little sister every night. He wanted to make sure everything was okay and that she was fine.
The beautiful clip has since been shared on social media, and many who have seen it have greatly appreciated the friendship and strong bond that has formed between the girl and her dog.
