Creepy Stranger Follows Mother and 2-Year-Old Daughter in Store: Whispers ‘Say Goodbye to Mom’

When my brothers and I were young, we were not easy to keep an eye on. We were three energetic boys, all born within four years of each other, and all we wanted to do was run – often in different directions. We were a nightmare for our babysitter, Kate, every time.

I remember one time when we were with her in a store. We ran through the aisles while she tried her best to keep an eye on us and do her shopping at the same time.

Then, suddenly – the three of us together for once – we noticed that Kate was gone. We searched for a while but couldn’t find her, so we decided to go home. I, the oldest, reasoned that she had left us in the store. Luckily, our house was not far away, but when we got to the house, we realized we didn’t have a key to the door.

It wasn’t long before a man approached us and offered to help.

We had learned not to talk to strangers, but thankfully this person was just a friendly old man who wanted to help. He was able to get my mother’s number from a neighbor and call her to let her know we were alone.

Meanwhile, poor Kate was in a panic. She believed that my two brothers and I had been abducted when she turned her back in the store. Even now, I feel a little guilty every time I think about Kate and the situation we put her in.

In February 2016, a mother, Amanda Cropsey Florcyzkowski, from Texas, USA, was shopping in a supermarket with her two-year-old daughter. Suddenly she heard the words “Say bye to mommy”.

Kidnapping

The simple sentence hit her to the core. It was lucky she heard and registered the words because she now believes the man and woman standing at the checkout, who looked perfectly normal at first glance, were planning to kidnap her daughter.

Thank goodness this mother was vigilant, or else she and her family could have been victims of something terrible.

Ongoing Issues

On September 24, 2018, Texas was hit by another such incident. This time, like before, a mother was shopping with her four-year-old daughter.

As the mother filled her shopping cart, she did her best to keep an eye on her child. Parents will know how difficult it is to constantly watch over your child. Just two seconds can be enough to open the door to a nightmare scenario.

According to a police report, two unknown individuals – a man and a woman – attempted to remove the girl from her mother’s cart. Fortunately, a store employee saw what was happening and intervened, according to the Star-Telegram.

The couple in question quickly disappeared from the store and drove away.

The child escaped without physical harm, but the incident is being investigated by the police.

While we want to pay attention to our children every second of the day, it is practically impossible, especially if you have more than one.

It is crucial to teach your children what to do if approached by a stranger.

Instruct your children to scream, kick, and fight with all their might if someone they don’t know tries to take them against their will. This sudden burst of noise is often enough to deter an attacker by drawing too much attention.

What luck for the last mother that there was an attentive store employee nearby to stop the potential disaster.
