Life is fantastic. When you least expect it, you might come across someone in your path who you may have met years ago without realizing it. That was the case for Brandon Seminatore, a pediatric nurse in California. He was in for a huge surprise when he realized who his colleague really was.
Suspicious
When she read the name tag of her new colleague, she was sure she had seen the name before. But she couldn’t immediately recall where or when.
“I became very suspicious, because when I was working as a midwife, I helped deliver a baby with the same last name,” Vilma told the British newspaper Metro.
When Vilma met her new colleague Brandon, she immediately asked if her father might have been a police officer.
“It got really quiet and he asked me if I was Vilma. I said yes, and it became clear that his mother had told him to ask me about it at the hospital. Brandon thought I had already retired by now,” Vilma said.

So Vilma was reunited with the child she had cared for 28 years ago.
“I was in shock but overwhelmed with happiness, because I had cared for him almost 30 years ago. And now we are colleagues at the place where he was born,” she testified.
Shortly after the discovery, Brandon brought a photo to the hospital. It was a photo taken by his mother at his birth, showing Vilma. An touching moment for the new colleagues.
