A father took action when he discovered that an unknown man was enticing his 15-year-old daughter through the internet.
Upon learning that a stranger, Jeremy Gibson, was stalking his daughter with explicit photos and messages on Facebook, the father contacted the police and shared the messages before devising a plan.
Using the ‘Family Time’ app to track his daughter’s phone, he discovered Gibson’s attempts to arrange a meeting. Suspecting Gibson planned to visit their home, the father and his friends devised a trap. They set up a tent outside with a surveillance camera, intending to lure Gibson by claiming his daughter was inside.
Soon, the camera captured alarming footage as the stalker approached the tent late at night.
Inside the tent was not his daughter but an older woman accompanied by the father and his friends, who were waiting in the garden. When Gibson approached the tent, they apprehended him, subdued him, and bound his limbs.
The police commended the father for his actions, noting the operation was well-planned and executed professionally.
