Recently, a blue creature was found shivering under a bush in Long Island, New York.
It quickly turned out to be a special peacock in urgent need of help.
When an employee of Hewlett Harbour Village Hall saw the bird, she knew he was in danger, especially with a storm threatening to sweep through the town.
The employee then decided to ask the local animal rescuer Karenlynn Stracher for help.

The peacock was hiding
Catching a peacock is not the easiest task, as despite their large size, they can truly fly.
But the employee and Karenlynn were willing to do anything to bring the bird to safety.
It turned out to be easier than they initially thought, and Karenlynn caught the bird on her first try.
“When I first saw the bird, he was under a large, dense group of bushes with only one entrance and exit,” Stracher told The Dodo.
“Once I spotted the bird, I knew I had a very good chance of catching him alone if I acted quickly and decided to give it a shot. I succeeded, and moments later I crawled out from under the bushes, the peacock safe in my arms.”
Currently, no one can say for sure where the peacock came from.
But whatever happens, the future looks bright for the poor bird. Stracher found a local bird expert who happens to have a female peacock looking for a companion.
“After a vet check and a quarantine period, they were introduced to each other,” Stracher said. “It looks like love!”
