Doctor Heartbreak: Forbidden to Hug Son Due to COVID Fear
There are few things that give as much love to a mother or father as when you come home and your child receives you with open arms.
I remember well when I came home after my first day at work after my maternity leave. My son came crawling towards me with a big smile. That hug, after many hours away from home, was indescribable.
So I can imagine what it must have been like for this father when he came home from work, but had to refuse his son’s hug. The man is a doctor, and does not want his children to touch him for fear of getting infected with the coronavirus.
I must admit, I couldn’t hold back my tears. And now again I can’t. I don’t have to say anything else. A picture is worth a thousand words. Look below:

According to Telecinco, the man is a doctor from Saudi Arabia. But wherever he is, it could just as well have been a doctor from nearby. This seemingly endless pain knows no boundaries, not even in a father’s tears.
Again, let’s PLEASE do EVERYTHING to protect ourselves and others.
- Stay at home, except to buy groceries.
- Avoid contact with others.
- Wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds.
