Doctor Saves 32-Year-Old Nicole – Discovers Terrifying Truth on TV

Not everyone enjoys watching TV and that is perfectly understandable.

But it turns out it can save your life — as Nicole McGuinness discovered.

She recently took part in a TV series to celebrate, among other things, her recovery from a brain tumor.

But a doctor who happened to be watching the program immediately reacted when he noticed something strange on Nicole’s neck.

The discovery was as unexpected as life-saving as it led to the beginning of an unparalleled story.

In December 2015, at just 29 years old, Nicole was diagnosed with brain cancer. She had a tumor.

By the end of that year, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor, followed by daily doses of radiation therapy.

This continued until 2016, as Nicole fought hard to return to normal life.

Finally, on her 30th birthday, she celebrated her victory over cancer.

A few years later, in 2018, Nicole participated in the TV show ‘Beachfront Bargain Hunt’, broadcast on HGTV.

Based in New York, Dr. Erich Voigt happened to watch the program and quickly spotted something on Nicole’s neck: a small lump. He immediately recognized it as a potential cancer symptom and decided to track her down and inform her of his suspicions, ABC News writes.

Tracking her down
“As a head and neck surgeon, I am trained to notice these things,” Dr. Voigt told ABC.

The doctor could have overlooked what he saw, but instead he thought about Nicole’s well-being and traced her, requiring a certain amount of detective work.

He wrote on Facebook, posted a clip from the TV series, and asked his friends to help him track down the woman.

He eventually got a tip that the woman on the show was Nicole McGuinness, from Havelock, North Carolina.

Nicole took the doctor’s good advice and went directly to the hospital for tests. Unfortunately, she learned she had thyroid cancer.

Dr. Voigt is cautiously optimistic now and believes Nicole will beat cancer again.

“Given that the cancer was detected relatively early and before experiencing symptoms, there is a better chance of recovery,” he says.

This story is also an example of how new technology and social media sometimes perform well, Dr. Voigt adds.

“Social media can create fake news and negative feelings — but this time it was used in a good and positive way. It helped someone. It united people.”

We completely agree with you, Dr. Voigt! Thanks for your skills and perseverance Nicole! Now we are hopeful that Nicole will beat her cancer, share if you agree!
