But when they are mistreated by certain people, they have no limits to fight back for their freedom.
Just like humans, animals have an incredible survival instinct. They do not know the word “give up”.
And that’s also true for dog Zoe.
Bit Off His Leg To Break Free
The nine-year-old canine, Zoe, was chained by her owner and left hungry for several days. In an attempt to escape, Zoe had no choice but to break free in a brutal way by biting off her own leg with her teeth to find freedom. When the Susquehanna SPCA animal association arrived on the scene, she was seriously injured and had to be quickly taken to the veterinarian.
The scans showed bones in her stomach, indicating that she had eaten her own leg,” said organizer Stacie Haynes to The Mirror.
An unknown man discovered Zoe when he had to deliver a package to the address and immediately sounded the alarm after witnessing her condition. Zoe was found severely injured and extremely swollen. Initially suspected to be from a cancerous tumor, it turned out to be from a broken leg. Her owner has been arrested and charged with serious animal abuse.
She underwent surgery for her injuries and will need a long time to recover. Zoe’s future is still uncertain.
