Adrian Smith, a 47-year-old firefighter received an emergency call to assist at a horrific car accident. Once on the scene, his worst nightmare came true as he found his 21-year-old daughter in the completely destroyed vehicle.
The British firefighter Adrian Smith has seen many terrible accidents in his life. But what he recently witnessed can hardly be described in words. It left the 47-year-old man devastated.
Last Sunday, Adrian gave his 21-year-old daughter Ella a warm hug before she left the house for a trip. Later that day, he received a call about an accident nearby.
Found his own daughter at the accident scene
Three vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the cars was completely destroyed.
Adrian was called to the scene, where several victims were present.
When the 47-year-old father arrived at the scene, his worst nightmare became reality. His daughter was involved in the accident and had passed away.
“We can confirm that the person who died in the crash on June 13 was identified as 21-year-old Ella Smith, who lived nearby,” a police spokesperson told The Mirror.
Studied nursing
Ella was on her way to the beach with her boyfriend that day. They were involved in an accident with two other vehicles on the way.
“We were completely devastated by the loss of our dear Ella. She was so loved, our kind daughter, sister, and granddaughter,” the family said in a message according to The Mirror.

Ella was only 21 and was studying nursing. She had just started her internship at a nursing home.
“This is terrible. We hope her family will remember her with as much love as we do,” her friends wrote on social media.
Colleagues also mourning
Police are looking for witnesses and any CCTV footage of passing motorcyclists. This will help further investigate how the accident occurred.
Other involved victims are currently being treated at the hospital.
“She will always be our ray of sunshine. We are all devastated. We sympathize deeply with her family and we want to express our support. She was so happy, and the patients loved her,” David Van Dyk, the hospital director where she worked, told The Mirror.
Rest in peace.
