Jerry Williamson and his wife Frances Williamson were an inseparable couple all their lives until death separated them. Their story received a lot of attention in the British press as they died barely minutes apart. Both succumbed to the coronavirus, reports the British newspaper Metro.
“Beautiful Couple”
The couple leaves behind two children, Delora and Jerry, who broadcasted the funeral online to prevent anyone from getting infected.
“They were a beautiful couple. They will be missed. My prayers and thoughts go out to the whole family. They were good neighbors of ours for years,” said a woman who knew the couple.
Jerry and Frances, both 72, began to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 after returning from a cruise holiday together. No one knew how severe the infection was or how quickly it would spread.
The British couple passed away with barely a few minutes between them. Cause of death: coronavirus. Reportedly, the couple died while holding hands. Their story touched thousands of people.
