It’s a sad reality that we, as humans, carry a significant burden of animal suffering on our shoulders. However, not all animal suffering is intentional. Sometimes, it happens inadvertently.
Well-intentioned individuals, with the best of intentions for animals, unknowingly contribute to the death of innocent creatures. A disturbing thought.

“Do not give me milk”
The hedgehog is currently facing numerous challenges; the post suggests that the animal’s existence is at stake if things persist this way. This isn’t due to intentional cruelty by animal abusers but rather the unwitting contribution of many to the demise of these creatures.
Many people unknowingly harm hedgehogs by leaving out milk, which can lead to stomach issues and dehydration, ultimately resulting in death. Despite its appeal to the animals, this practice is harmful as they fall into this harmful cycle.
If you wish to help, consider providing unsalted raw meat, minced meat, or cat food (without fish). Water is also a safe alternative.
“Harmless, lovely, and cute”
Further threats to hedgehogs come from traps and insecticides, which are not intended for these creatures but pose serious risks to them.
The post concludes with a heartfelt plea to ensure the well-being of hedgehogs, stressing the importance of their survival for both themselves and the ecosystem.
“I am absolutely harmless, lovely, and cute, and I am happy to help you in your garden, I feed on insects that you’d rather be rid of.”
“My species is in decline, please help me survive?”
Amen. The message is powerful! Let’s be more mindful in the future to ensure hedgehogs can thrive in the ecosystem without endangerment.
