Encounter on the Street: Woman Comes Face to Face with Ape and Makes a Horrifying Discovery

A woman was walking down a street in Bangkok, Thailand, when she witnessed a disturbing sight.

She encountered a monkey – but not just any monkey – it was a monkey that appeared to have a fatal injury.

The monkey had a metal arrow lodged in its eye, yet surprisingly, it was still alive.

Some cruel individual had shot the monkey in the eye with a harpoon gun.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, the woman, known as Mongkol Plus, attempted to rescue the monkey and get him to a veterinarian.

Unfortunately, the frightened monkey leaped into a nearby lake to evade capture.

“He clearly did not comprehend that he was being saved,” stated Tom Taylor of Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, who was engaged in the incident, to The Dodo.
