Being a caregiver is a challenging role that demands patience, respect, and creativity, especially when caring for someone with dementia.
Regrettably, there are individuals in every profession who are not suited for the job, but when a caregiver neglects their responsibilities, it’s particularly tragic because they are entrusted with someone else’s well-being.
The Marsden family became suspicious of their mother’s caregiver, with Gina believing the caregiver was negligent and lackadaisical, as reported by Yahoo News.
Upon setting up a hidden camera, Gina’s worst fears were confirmed when she witnessed disturbing behavior that compelled her to rush home to take action.

Carer Stacey George, 46, was caught on camera mistreating Sabina Marsden, 78.
During the distressing incident, the caregiver callously exposed Sabina by removing her blanket, causing her to be partially unclothed and in tears.
The caregiver, Stacey George, repeatedly hit the Italian-born grandmother and widow while she muttered “Mamma Mia.”
Gina Owen, Sabina Marsden’s daughter, witnessed the appalling assault in real-time through the live-streamed footage from the camera she had installed.
Gina, who works at an electronics store nearby, hurried home from work to intervene, entering the scene and comforting her distressed mother.
Gina confronted the caregiver, instructing her to leave the premises. The caregiver casually finished her snack before grabbing her handbag and exiting the room.
Although the family reported the incident to the authorities, the caregiver only received a warning after admitting to the assault on Mrs. Marsden in June of the previous year.
Consequently, the Marsden family decided to make the video public, aiming to alert other families in case Stacey George is currently employed as a caregiver in the UK or elsewhere in Europe.
It’s commendable that they are speaking out – individuals like the caregiver in this case have no place in the caregiving field!
While many dedicated individuals work tirelessly in caregiving to ensure the best care for our vulnerable family members, they often go unrecognized. Their role is invaluable, and we must appreciate their efforts.
However, individuals who display such appalling behavior should never be permitted to work in care facilities. It is hoped that the individual responsible for this attack faces severe consequences. A mere warning is insufficient for such behavior – feel free to share if you concur!
