It was during the summer of 1997 when Julie, Andy, and their son Landon were on their way home from a day out. They were all happy after spending a beautiful family day.
But then something happened that would change their entire lives.
They were driving past an intersection when an ambulance, on its way to the hospital, crashed head-on into them.
Andy died instantly and Julie was in stable condition, but the emergency services did not realize that there was still a third person in the car, reported CBN.
The car was so damaged that the emergency services couldn’t see 8-year-old Landon. It was only when they saw the child’s shoe that they realized someone else was in the car.
Landon was resuscitated and immediately taken for care at Carolina’s Medical Center. He died twice that day, and each time he was brought back to life. Doctors didn’t give Julie much hope.
Julie was told that if her son survived, he would have the mental capacity of a baby and wouldn’t know how to walk, talk, or eat due to the brain injury he had suffered.
But after two weeks, a miracle happened. Landon opened his eyes and to everyone’s surprise, he showed no signs of brain damage. And then something miraculous happened.
“I asked Landon if he knew where his father was. He replied ‘yes, I know where he is. I saw him up here, in heaven,” Julie told CBN.
Landon also explained that he had seen two family friends when he was in heaven. But that was not all. Shortly after, he told his mother that there were “two other children.”
Julie wasn’t sure what he was talking about, but after a while, she realized what he meant. Landon was referring to the two miscarriages she had before Landon was born. However, Landon had never been told about this by his mother.
“He had seen them in heaven, even though we had never told him about them. He didn’t know that we had lost two children before,” Julie told CBN.
Sometimes totally unexplainable things happen. And it feels strange to hear Landon’s story.
