Fear Factor: Pig Forced to Bungee Jump – Screams of Terror as it Plunges from Bridge

In a Chinese amusement park, a pig was coerced into jumping from a 68-meter high bridge. The park is now under intense scrutiny from animal rights groups globally.

The BBC reported a widespread outcry after the pig was fastened to a bungee cord at a theme park in Chongqing, China. A video capturing this distressing incident has circulated on social media, eliciting strong reactions from animal advocates.

Forced from 70 meters high

While animal abuse is not currently illegal in China, there has been a growing call for increased awareness on this issue, as per the Independent. Following the ordeal, the pig in question was reportedly slaughtered.

This macabre act was purportedly part of a Chinese New Year celebration at the park.

Subsequently, the park issued an apology for the distress caused.

Furious over the event, Jason Baker, head of PETA’s Asia branch, condemned the park’s actions, stating, “This form of animal mistreatment is abhorrent. Bungee jumping is a terrifying ordeal for humans, let alone for an animal. Just imagine the sheer terror of standing on a high platform and then being forcefully pushed down. That’s the unfathomable horror this innocent animal had to endure for human entertainment.”

Baker believes that the theme park deserves the severe backlash it is facing after images of the pig circulated widely online.
