When a woman noticed a dog separated from his toy, she felt compelled to assist. This simple act of kindness is sure to warm your heart.

Claire Cummings, hailing from the British village of Basingstoke, encountered an unusual sight while driving to a friend’s house earlier this month: a stuffed pig sitting on a doorstep…

…and on the other side of a wall, a dog struggled to reach his plush pig toy.

It was evident that the dog had accidentally dropped his toy and was unable to retrieve it. He seemed to be waiting for someone to notice the little pig and help him out.

Observing from her car, Claire saw the dog looking at her and attempting to indicate his toy over the wall. Despite his efforts, the dog remained patient throughout the ordeal.

“Although he could have easily leaped over the wall, he was well-trained not to do so,” she informed The Dodo.

Showing her compassion for animals, Claire, who runs a dog walking business, couldn’t leave the dog in such a predicament.

“We are big animal lovers and couldn’t bear the thought of him waiting there with no one to help,” stated Claire.

So, she made a U-turn, retrieved the stuffed pig, and handed it to the dog. She shared the story on the Facebook group “Dogspotting Society”.
