A couple in Texas, USA, is in mourning after losing their twins shortly after birth. This is due to the fact that abortion is illegal in Texas.
When Miranda Michel and her partner Levi Langley found out they were pregnant, it didn’t take long for Miranda to suspect that something was wrong.

The couple already has three children, and there was something about this pregnancy that just didn’t feel quite right, reports Café Mom.
During their first ultrasound, the suspicions were confirmed, and the doctors delivered devastating news.
Miranda was pregnant with twins, and unfortunately, both of them were severely ill. The chances of their survival were minimal.
Couldn’t get an abortion
It was a set of conjoined twins, both with deformed spines and some of their organs, some underdeveloped, were outside their bodies.
But despite knowing this, Miranda had to endure the entire pregnancy.
In Texas, it has been illegal to perform an abortion for some time as long as the fetus’ heart is beating.
‘It feels like my heart has been torn out’
A nurse reportedly secretly gave the couple a note with information about an abortion clinic in another state, but it was impossible for the couple to get there.
On August 9, she was forced to undergo the gruesome delivery and a complex operation, knowing that her babies essentially had no chance of survival.
Both died just minutes after birth.
“It feels like my heart has been ripped out of my chest multiple times,” Miranda told the Tribune, according to the site.
