It had been a few weeks since a family was suddenly greeted by this sweet cat.
She had no owner and just wanted some food in her belly. And she got it. The kind family wanted nothing more than for the cat to have enough to eat, so they set out some food for her.
But one day she came back, and this time she had a surprise with her!
It turned out that this cat had several kittens, and of course, she wanted them to enjoy the food the kind family provided.
California was going through a heatwave at the time, with temperatures rising just above 40 degrees. The family took care of the mother cat and two of her kittens, but the last kitten had run away.
Now the family needed help to find it, so they reached out to Alley Cat Rescue who advised the family on how to do this.
The whole community kept their eyes and ears open for the stray kitten. For ten days, the kitten was missing, but one day she was found!
Alley Cat Rescue described in a popular social media post that it was a nail-biter, and they immediately took the kitten to the vet to make sure she was okay.
According to the animal organization, the kitten was found in the engine of a car! And now they all get to go to new families where they will avoid a life on the streets and receive plenty of love and food.
