The man who saw the assault shared his harrowing experience on the forum Reddit.
“I was on my way to school today when I witnessed a car in front of me. The driver suddenly struck the woman seated next to him with great force. He then turned and hit the young boy square in the face. This all occurred in broad daylight amidst heavy traffic. It happened so quickly, and I felt compelled to take action.”

Upon returning home, I embraced my young son for an extended period, shedding a tear in the process. Following a comforting shower, I went for a run. The incident remains vivid in my mind, and I am still processing what happened.
The sound of the young boy’s crying lingers in my ears whenever it’s quiet. This is a heavy burden at the moment, but I believe things will improve as time passes. I am searching for answers.
As mentioned earlier, I am contemplating a career in social work, and today’s events have solidified my decision. Collaborating with law enforcement and assisting the young boy to the best of my ability has convinced me that I can channel my empathy into a professional endeavor.
