This event unfolded recently at Russo’s Supermarket in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA.
One of the employees surprised everyone with his impressive vocal skills, captivating the Christmas shoppers.
It all started when Guilherme Assuncao, also known as ‘Gillie’, was assisting in setting up equipment for an upcoming concert.
Offering to do a soundcheck, Gillie began singing and immediately grabbed the attention of all the customers in the store.
The young employee’s rendition of “O Holy Night” sent shivers down the spines of the listeners.
Subsequently, the supermarket shared a video of the performance on Facebook, much to the audience’s delight.
At only 23 years old, Gillie moved to the United States from Brazil just two years ago.
Having resided in Boston for six months, he works at Russo’s Supermarket in Watertown while pursuing his studies.
Gillie mentioned that despite not having taken any singing lessons, he had participated in musicals back in Brazil.
The overwhelming positive responses deeply touched him.
“I’m truly overwhelmed,” Gillie expressed to WBUR News.
Currently contemplating following his passion for music and striving to build a career in the industry.
