Grow lemons at home

What do you need:

  • 1 lemon
  • nutrient-rich soil
  • appropriate pot
  • plastic foil
  • a sunny spot

How do you do it:

1. Put the soil in the pot and add water to moisten it. Leave about 3 centimeters from the edge of the pot.

2. Cut open the lemon and take out a seed that looks good. Do not dry it. Make a small hole in the bottom and place the seed inside.

3. Cover with soil and more water. Any type of flower soil works, but I recommend using a mixture of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite, and organic fertilizers.

4. Cover the pot with plastic foil to keep it moist, and then place it in a sunny spot.

5. Make sure not to overwater. This can cause it to rot. Keep an eye on the pot and as soon as you see the lemons start to grow, remove the plastic. This happens after 1 or 2 weeks.
