Dogs are more than just four-legged animals. They are loyal, faithful, and truly man’s best friend.
Police officer Todd Frazier experienced this firsthand when his loyal dog saved his life.
While on patrol in Mississippi, USA, Todd noticed a car parked with its lights off and someone inside.
Approaching the vehicle, Todd was suddenly ambushed by two individuals emerging from the bushes.
Dangerous neighborhood
Prior reports indicated gang members in the area were targeting and attacking police officers.
Overpowered and dragged into the woods, Todd’s life was in grave danger.
During the struggle, Todd managed to access the keychain enabling the release of Lucas, his loyal Belgian Malinois shepherd dog.
Lucas wasted no time and bravely intervened to protect his owner.
The fearless Lucas comes to the rescue
Without hesitation, Lucas fiercely attacked the assailants, causing them to flee with severe injuries.
Both Todd and Lucas sustained injuries but recovered swiftly, returning to their duties.
Lucas was honored with the Brookhaven Animal League Rescue Hero of the Year award for his valor.
