Hidden Summer Danger: Mom’s Warning After Discovering Issue on Daughter’s Face

Summer has finally arrived, and spending the day outside is wonderful. However, it’s crucial to remember to protect our skin.

A mother from Newfoundland, Canada, had a shocking experience when she applied sunscreen to her 14-month-old daughter’s face. Now, she’s warning other parents.

The sun’s UV rays can be harmful, especially at the start of summer. Sunburn can lead to scarring and, in severe cases, skin cancer. Thus, using sunscreen is vital when outdoors.

But what’s even more critical?
When applying sunscreen to our children, we must consider that we are putting chemicals on their delicate skin, which can sometimes be more harmful than the sun itself.

Regrettably, Rebecca Cannon from Newfoundland, Canada, learned this the hard way. Despite using a spray approved for children 6 months and older, her daughter’s face swelled up and developed burns and blisters after applying it.

Rebecca shared her alarming experience on Facebook, urging parents to be cautious with sunscreen use.

Several parents have reported similar incidents after Rebecca’s warning.

We hope that the product, Banana Boat SPF 50, is removed from shelves to prevent further harm to children.
