Inspiring Love: Woman Shows the World Through Transparent Backpack Carrying Her Disabled Cat

Some animals have special needs and may not be able to move around as easily as other pets. But fortunately, there are loving owners who are willing to go the extra mile to give their pets the best possible life.

Like this cat owner who has found a clever way to show her cat the world: by putting her in a transparent backpack.

Sarge, a two-year-old cat, has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. According to People, her small brain didn’t develop properly, leading to motor problems that prevent her from walking.

“Sarge was born this way and has a very serious condition,” said Sarge’s owner Michelle Donlick, who runs the non-profit Avalo Cat Sanctuary in Aiken, South Carolina, to People.

“She can’t walk at all. She lies on her side and she flops around wherever she wants to go, but she is not in pain.”

Even though the cat can’t walk on her own, Michelle wanted to find a way to take her on trips to see sights outside the house.

Looking for a solution, she found a transparent plastic backpack with air holes on Amazon. She knew right away that it would be the perfect way to carry Sarge around town.

With Sarge safely on her back, Michelle toured the city and offered the cat a glimpse of the world she had never seen due to her disability.

Together they visited the local market, strolled on the beach, and even went to restaurants.

“People were so excited to see us and meet her. She just looks amused in the backpack,” said Michelle.

“She’s rocking back and forth and moving around a lot to look outside and see everyone. She really loves the attention. She’s such a sweet girl.”

The day out was such a success that Michelle is planning another outing with Sarge, and this time she’s bringing friends along.

Michelle told People that she has ordered more transparent backpacks so that other cats she cares for can have their own day out.

“We can take them all in their own backpack and visit sights together,” said Michelle.

Thank you, Michelle, for finding such a smart way to show this cat the world. Share this heartwarming story!
