Now that Kate Middleton seems to have fully returned to her royal duties, we see her appearing more often. She has already had several solo appearances this year, but of course, she also appears alongside her husband, Prince William. Next week, the couple will have a busy day; Kensington Palace announced on February 20 that the pair have a special engagement.
Kate Middleton could soon show off this special skill
According to People, the palace confirmed that Princess Kate and Prince William will visit Pontypridd in South Wales on 26th February to mark St. David’s Day (1st March), the national day of Wales. During their visit, they will meet with members of the community affected by the floods on December 24, caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh.
They will also visit the Pontypridd Market, where they will meet entrepreneurs and test their baking skills with the making of traditional Welsh cakes. As an avid cake baker for her children’s birthdays, Kate is likely to excel in this part of the day.
The second of the year
The special day in Wales marks the second joint appearance of the couple in 2025. Earlier this year, on 27th January, Kate and William attended a ceremony commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp. During the service, they lit candles in honor of the victims of the Holocaust and spoke with various survivors.
