Visitors to Las Vegas can encounter a variety of bizarre and amazing sights. While passing through, one couple found themselves compelled to stop and investigate an unusual scene on the roadside.
Traveling along a busy highway near the desert, the couple was astonished to spot what seemed like a child.
Is that a little child?!
The couple’s dashcam captured the moment of sheer surprise when the husband, in a panic, shouted, “Is that a little child? Turn on your blinkers!”
Repeatedly urging his wife to activate the blinkers, the husband’s concern grew as they pulled over to assess the situation.

To their disbelief, on the roadside, they found a young toddler precariously navigating on a balance bike without pedals—a tool designed to teach kids bike balance before regular cycling.

In the dashcam footage, the man rushes towards the child with open arms, while his wife endeavors to shield him from traffic hazards.
Another motorist intervened by contacting the authorities.

When asked by a passerby if he lived nearby, the child nodded towards a housing complex.
Subsequently, the couple canvassed the neighborhood seeking information about the toddler’s identity and encountered a resident named Matthew Eskridge.
“He asked me, ‘Do you know who this child belongs to?’ I was like, are you kidding me?” Matthew recounted to Fox5 News.
Although unfamiliar with the child, Matthew willingly aided in the search for the parents.
“As I stepped outside, I saw the mother sprinting down the street, exiting the gate upon spotting the cars along the roadside,” described Matthew.
He noted that the mother, in a panicked state, rushed past her son without noticing him.
“The woman seized the bike, exclaiming, ‘Your son is here!’ before retracing her steps to reunite [in my driveway],” narrated Matthew.
The child had somehow ventured out of a fenced area and onto the two-lane highway, where he was struggling near oncoming traffic. Fortunately, he escaped unharmed.
Thankfully, vigilant individuals intervened in time to avert a potentially disastrous situation. The thought of such a young child navigating a busy highway is indeed alarming.
