Every dog deserves a loving home, and it’s heartbreaking to see stray dogs struggling to survive on the streets.
Thankfully, there are dedicated animal rescue organizations filled with compassionate individuals who work tirelessly to help animals in need.
In 2016, a kind man reached out to the animal rescue group, Hope For Paws, about a small dog he had found living alone in a shoebox.
Without hesitation, the Hope For Paws team in Los Angeles sprang into action.
Upon arrival, they discovered the pup nestled on a shoebox in the rain. The sight of the dog in such a vulnerable state deeply moved them, reflecting a sense of neglect and loneliness.
Upon closer inspection, they noticed that the Chihuahua, whom they named Princess, was missing a front leg and struggled to move comfortably. They scooped her up, wrapped her in a towel, and rushed her to an animal clinic for a warm bath.
Further inquiries revealed that neighbors believed the dog belonged to a nearby household. Sadly, Princess had been outdoors for five months before anyone took notice. Upon receiving a concerned call, Eldad and Loreta from Hope for Paws promptly stepped in to rescue the neglected chihuahua.
Despite her rough past, Princess showed joy in human interaction, signaling her need for love and care.
Following medical attention, Princess began to thrive despite her challenging health conditions. In March 2017, Hope For Paws happily announced that Princess had found a loving foster family.
